Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Titanium & Damascus Steel

A Modern Evolution of a 1978 Icon

Inspired by the sleek lines of Tissot’s 1978 original, the PRX has become one of the brand’s strongest modern icons since its return to the collection five years ago. The name itself still reflects its core values – Precision, Robustness/Resistance and 10 atmospheres of water resistance – but the range has expanded into a diverse family of models. The latest additions, the PRX Powermatic 80 Titanium and PRX Powermatic 80 Damascus Steel, both in 38 mm, blend this vintage DNA with contemporary materials. Each is powered by the reliable Powermatic 80 automatic movement, featuring a Nivachron™ balance spring resistant to magnetism, shocks and wear, and delivering an impressive 80-hour power reserve. Hours, minutes, seconds and a date at 3 o’clock complete the functional layout.

Titanium Minimalism and the Artistry of Damascus Steel

The Titanium version pairs a lightweight, deep-grey case and bracelet with a textured checkerboard dial in navy blue or anthracite, complemented by luminescent baton hands. The Damascus Steel model, meanwhile, stands out through its distinctive layered steel construction, creating swirling, organic patterns across both the case and dial for a striking visual continuity. Together, these new releases showcase Tissot’s ability to reinterpret a classic silhouette through innovative materials, strengthening the PRX collection’s position as a modern essential in the integrated-bracelet category.
